Invisalign is a wonderful new system designed to give patients braces that are barely visible and without the complications of traditional hardware. Because Invisalign uses a series of clear plastic aligners to achieve the straightening process, it can also be taken out and removed for special occasions like photos, weddings or birthdays, unlike regular braces, which are affixed to teeth. At Corry & Lewis Dental, we specialize in orthodontics and Enoch braces as well as restorative and general dentistry for you and your family.
It’s likely that many people would like to align their teeth but are afraid to wear traditional braces because everyone can see them. Now, with Invisalign, you can have clear braces in a matter of a few dental visits, with no painful screws to tighten. The braces are virtually invisible and only you’ll know you’re wearing them. The Invisalign system uses a series of clear plastic aligners created by our dentist. During your appointment for your Enoch braces, we’ll generate your aligners using a computer graphics system that allows us to print out the series. Each series is given to the patient on a two week basis. The first set in the series is given, upon which the braces begin gently moving the teeth into the required position.
After the first two weeks, the patient is given another set in their series of Enoch braces, and another the next two weeks, continuing on until every set in the series is given. The entire series takes at least a year, about the same amount of time as with regular braces, or until the desired degree of alignment has taken place.
